I relate the game of croquet in chapter 8 to that of golf or croquet in 2016. I say this because in the story the game was portrayed as weird. In the real world, people think that golf and croquet are weird. Not everybody thinks the same thing, some people might actually like golf or croquet. This is also portrayed in the story because the queen was very fond of the game.

chapter 8
James Butcher
Chapter eight of alice in wonderland is about alice playing a game of croquet like she has ever played before. The games calls for the sticks to be live flamingos and the balls to be live hedgehogs. The queen has a certain “knack” for getting her way. The hoops for the ball to go through are live cards. So whenever the ball or hedgehog get close they move so it goes under them. The cards do the exact opposite for Alice's turn. They move out the way and make it the main priority to move out of the way or the queen will demand that his head get cut off. After Alice's turn, the queen gets ready to go when the Cheshire cat appears and has a conversation with alice. This gets the queen mad and whenever alice tries to show the cat he disappears. The Cheshire cat then proceeds to sabotage the game which makes the queen fall and blames it on alice.
chapter 7
Summary
At the beginning of chapter 7 Alice was walking to find the mad hatter and ended up at a tea party. Wasn't really invited but she sat down at a the look at her and said the table was large enough but for some reason they said “no room, no room, no room.” “but there is plenty of room” said alice. The table could fit 10 people and it was three of them in a corner sitting down. After a while, they let her join and they started making up riddles and they didn't even know the answer to them their self. The mad hatter brought out a watch that only tells that day of the month. Not like a regular watch that tells the time alice never saw one before. Alice said “I think you could do something better with your time then waste it on riddles that have no answers.” the hatter and alice wanted the dormouse to tell a story so he told a story about the three girls that lived in a well.

In victorian time, they would have tea parties almost every day the same time and they would invite different people over to come have tea with them.
It relates because they had a tea party that she had wasn't really invited to the party and how she sat down without asking to join the party.

Chapter 6
Chapter 6
summary
This reminds me of child abuse and how they had to make a law to stop it to a certain extent. It relates to the story because she would keep shaking the baby and hitting it when it sneezed. It also is related to the victorian era because the dutches don't take care of the baby they hire a nanny of some sort. When alice came in the house they gave her the kid because the dutches have to go somewhere with the other’s. This is the relation to both 2016 and the victorian era.
summary
At the beginning of chapter 6 she had founded a house where the duchess, a chef, and the cheshire cat lived and they were watching a child. The duchess and the chef in the room were both very negligent of the child. The Duchess was scolding the baby every time he would sneeze despite the fact that the chef was cooking a soup with so much pepper that it was in the air. The chef would throw anything in arms reach in the baby’s direction because he only like undeveloped little girls. The thing he would throw would hit the duchess and barely miss the baby. The Duchess gives the baby over to alice who then knots the baby in a ball holding it by the ear. The baby slowly turns into a pig and runs away. While contemplating on what just happened the cheshire cat appears in front of alice on a tree and ask question about the baby then gives her directions to either the mad hatter's or the march hare’s house. Alice chooses to go in the direction of the Hatter's house.
James Butcher
I think the part of the story in which alice want into the house and the baby was being abused related to the victorian era and current times. I say this because the baby being cared for by the duchess was not something that happened in the victorian era. The story relates to 2016 because kids everywhere can get abused. In the story the baby was beaten every time he sneezed. The chef himself also related to current times because he only liked undeveloped little girls. This relates to current times because there are people who are crazy and will do crazy things to kids.

chapter 5
Chapter 5
Chapter 5 of Alice in wonderland was about alice finally meeting the caterpillar. The caterpillar gave advice to Alice that lead to her being confused for a serpent trying to eat a pigeon's eggs. While talking to the caterpillar Alice accidentally insulted him by saying that three inches is a wretched height to be. This led to the caterpillar getting mad and leaving Alice but not before telling her that the mushroom she climbed up on to meet the caterpillar had the ability to make her smaller or smaller by eating one of the sides of it. But he didn't tell her what side did what. This led to alice growing very tall and scaring a pigeon into thinking she was a serpent. A serpent is a snake like creature that eats bird eggs. The pigeon then proceeded to attack Alice until Alice told her she wasn't a serpent.
1. Keep your temper
Alice was losing her temper because of the questions the caterpillar was asking.
2. Three inches is a very good height indeed (think before you speak)
Alice said something that insulted the caterpillar.
3. Know yourself
Alice was ‘confused’ when the caterpillar asked her who and what she is.
4. The mushroom one side makes you bigger and one side makes you smaller
The caterpillar gives alice advice on what to do to get to her normal size.
5. Watch your surroundings
Alice didn't know where she was or what was around her.

chapter 4
chapter 4
My mom is very independent because she doesn't ask other people for help unless its her last option. She’s a go getter, and she works for what she wants. Just like my grandma she works and doesn't let anyone bring her down she knows how to do thing by herself, she doesn't really depend on anyone but herself. They both are independent and doesn't like to ask for help .
My aunt is an independent woman because she is a ‘know-it-all’. She doesn't care what others think about her and she lives by her own rules. She doesn't need anybody to tell her what is right or wrong. She just does whatever she wants whenever she wants. This relates to the book because both my aunt and Alice/rabbit are independent.
The characters in chapter 4 were all related to the different types of sentences. An example of a simple sentence was alice and the rabbit because they both were know-it-alls and alone. Alice and the rabbit can also be compared to a compound sentence because they both fell down the rabbit hole. Alice can be related to all of the different types of sentences, she can be related to a complex sentence because she needs someone to guide her but she is alone in wonderland. This can also relate to the color grey which means confused which alice was. Lastly, a compound-complex sentence can be related to both alice and the white rabbit because Alice depended on the rabbit for directions and the rabbit didn't really depend on her at all other than for the gloves and the fan.

chapter 3
Chapter 3
Chapter three of alice in the wonderland relates to satire because it had some dramatic irony because they were running around in circles and being dramatic about who will win the caucus race. In this year the caucus race is pointless because you have to give a speech and then they vote instead of them having time to decide who they like to vote on and not making a rush decision because in the future they might not want to vote for that person any more and they may want to change their vote even though it really has no effect . To understand what the point of chapter three you have to know what a caucus race is. A caucus is a gathering of both political parties to decide who will be their presidential candidate.Chapter three reminds us of the caucus race because just like in the book it is pointless in the real world. We say this because in the book the Caucus race was an actual race. The whole point of it was to get the dryest the fastest, but when all the participants got dry a giant wave of tears came through and got them wet again. In the real world the caucus race is also pointless because people are persuaded to vote for things yet their vote has no effect at all.

chapter 2
Chapter 2
This chapter of Alice in the wonderland is related to a person that is over dramatic and cry a lots and how she was being weird and talking about how her feet is disappearing so I think it could also relate to someone that has went to the dentist and was given laughing gas.
https://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view;
I think the second chapter of Alice in wonderland is related to a person taking drugs. A drug called “ The Devil's breath” in particular . This drug is one of if not the most dangerous drug in the world. It makes the user unconscious but still awake. This makes the person very subjective to persuasion and lose their common sense. The user will do anything he/she is told to do. I relate this to the second chapter of the story because she had a drink of the potion and ate the cake all because she was told to. Her actions didn't help. She was doing horrible multiplication even though she was smart and she also tried to speak french to a mouse.
For chapter 2 of “Alice in Wonderland” we related Alice to a person taking a drug called “the Devil’s Breath” or using laughing gas. I say this because Alice in the second chapter was like a “zombie” she did everything she was told to do without saying “no”. We think it relates to the drug because in the second chapter she was like a person who didn't think for themselves. She also saw things such as a talking rabbit which in our world is not possible. Just like the drug which makes you see things and lose free will which are the things that Alice exhibited. It also reminds us of laughing gas because when she ate the food she had gotten bigger, and she was talking about how her feet was getting smaller. She was crying about how she wouldn't be able to put her shoes on by herself, and how she would need help to put them on. When you get laughing gas you usually see things that are not really there or you see double and you get upset because you can’t see thing clearly, and you cry over little things that you wouldn't normally cry over.

chapter 1
In the first chapter
of Alice in Wonderland she is peer pressured into drinking a potion and eating
cookies/cake. She was reluctant at first but the talking doorknob was telling
her to drink/eat the things he put in front of her. This happens until Alice
breaks down and cries and almost drowns the doorknob. This relates to today
because kids and teens even adults can all be peer pressured into doing
something they don't want to do. An example would be peer pressuring teens or
adults into drinking, doing drugs, or sex.
In the first chapter of Alice in Wonderland, Alice
experiences two main feelings: Curiosity and peer pressure. An example of both
of these feelings is when Alice was told to drink the potion that made her
smaller which is peer pressure. A real world example of peer pressure is when
teen try to make each other drink, do drugs, or have sex. An example of
curiosity in the book and movie is when Alice is confused on if she should or
should not drink the potion that made her smaller. A real word example of
curiosity is if a kid tries something spicy for the first time, the kid
naturally wants to try it because of everybody else is doing it but it is spicy
and the kid has to find it out for themselves whether they like it or not.
She was not supposed
to wonder and she was not allowed to be by herself without an escort. Because
she was a kid and kids today are not allowed to be at certain places by
themselves. She said “she wasn't invited to the rabbit hole” and back then you
have to be invited to go somewhere. Kids can't just go to a party without an
invite but if it's a party that anyone can come to then it's a different. As kids most of them have mysterious mind
that will make them curious and that is what was wrong with Alice and how she
knew she wasn’t allowed to go without someone but she was curious. That is what
lead her to not follow the rules and run off by herself.
There aren't many archetypes in chapter one of Alice in
Wonderland. The ones that I have found are as followed: Alice is in a blue and
white dress, she is a little girl, the rabbit is white, the rabbit hole is
dark/black, and there is a three legged table. Alice who is a little girl is in
a blue and white dress which means she is innocent and peaceful. The same thing
goes for the white rabbit. The bottom of the rabbit hole is dark/black which
means that there is going to be something bad happening at the bottom of this
well maybe even a death. Lastly there is a three legged table which stands for
a trinity. A trinity means strength.
- Wasn't allowed to go by herself
- She said that she hasn't been invited
- And she really shouldn't be doing this
- Was suppose to where restricted gear
- Wasn’t allowed to walk up and talk to someone had to be introduced
- Unmarried ladies need a escort must make a jester
- No loud talking
- Can't speak to a man smoking
Archetypes
- Alice blue/white dress
This means that she is peaceful and innocent
- Alice is a little girl
Being a little girl furthermore states that she is innocent
- White rabbit
Being a rabbit itself doesn't mean anything but being a white rabbit means the same as the dress. He is innocent
- Bottom of the rabbit hole is black
Black means death or something bad is about to happen
- Three legged table
The table itself means nothing but the fact that its three legged means that it represents strength or power because three is more powerful than one
