Chapter 5 

1. Keep your temper

Alice was losing her temper because of the questions the caterpillar was asking.

2. Three inches is a very good height indeed (think before you speak)

Alice said something that insulted the caterpillar.

3. Know yourself

Alice was ‘confused’ when the caterpillar asked her who and what she is.

4. The mushroom one side makes you bigger and one side makes you smaller

The caterpillar gives alice advice on what to do to get to her normal size.

5. Watch your surroundings

Alice didn't know where she was or what was around her.

Chapter 5 of Alice in wonderland was about alice finally meeting the caterpillar. The caterpillar gave advice to Alice that lead to her being confused for a serpent trying to eat a pigeon's eggs. While talking to the caterpillar Alice accidentally insulted him by saying that three inches is a wretched height to be. This led to the caterpillar getting mad and leaving Alice but not before telling her that the mushroom she climbed up on to meet the caterpillar had the ability to make her smaller or smaller by eating one of the sides of it. But he didn't tell her what side did what. This led to alice growing very tall and scaring a pigeon into thinking she was a serpent. A serpent is a snake like creature that eats bird eggs. The pigeon then proceeded to attack Alice until Alice told her she wasn't a serpent.
